This is a great opportunity for an experienced and licensed Outpatient Dietitian to work in a state of the art, AADE accredited, Diabetes and Endocrine Center. Come be part of a great team of Endocrinologists, NPs, Educators and Dietitians that provide comprehensive treatment for endocrinology disorders and diabetes management.
The Registered Dietitian is responsible for assessing, analyzing, planning and implementing plans with patients and family following the policies and procedures of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) in a progressive Diabetes and Endocrine Center.
Perform and document diet instructions using approved instructional materials and methods.
Coordinate and develop educational material.
Develop interventions and goals to maintain or improve nutritional status and glucose control.
Document clear, concise communication of nutritional care, including all required elements for precise Medicare billing.
Communicate to referring physician as needed regarding diabetes management and nutritional care of the patient.
Promote Diabetes education through hospital and community-based lectures, classes and health fairs.
Teach DSME/T group class on Nutrition and follow through with appropriate documentation.
Bachelor’s degree from ADA approved program in Dietetics or Nutrition, Masters preferred
Possess or obtain Mass license
CDE or CDE eligible
Must maintain current registration with the American Dietetic Association and Professional Development Portfolio Guide
Prefer 2+ years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitor sensors, and glucometers
