Researchers at Drexel University are searching for a full-time weight loss interventionist to join an NIH-funded study of weight loss and the causes of weight regain. The team consists of clinical and basic scientists, research assistants, and core staff at Drexel University, University of Pennsylvania, and Tufts University.
Essential Functions
The interventionist will be responsible for delivering a behavioral program to achieve 7% weight loss in individual and group meetings with participants with online monitoring of weight, activity, and diet.
The selected candidate will be provided with training and all program materials for the specific intervention to be delivered (based on the Diabetes Prevention Program with delivery in English)
Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree, Registered Dietitian
Minimum of 1 year of experience delivering weight loss interventions and strong counselling and group leadership skills are highly desirable
Preferred Qualifications
Prior training in weight management is preferred.
