This is a stroke coordinator position that will be a day role from 8a-430p.  We would prefer a candidate with stroke or stroke coordinator experience or a candidate with Neuro experience.

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

This unit is the combination of two care units.  Five Medical is comprised of a 31-bed Medicine unit providing care to stroke patients as well as care for patients with metabolic disorders such as diabetes and renal failure.  In addition, a 25-bed wing is dedicated to geriatric care.  We offer an interdisciplinary approach to helping older adults maintain their independence and prevent physical and mental decline while receiving treatment for acute illnesses.

Role Purpose

Coordinates the health care of select patient populations/designated service across the continuum of care. Responsible for coordination of patient contact, patient education, prepares patient/family for procedure/test in collaboration with the healthcare team.
