Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics Laboratories
As part of our Laboratory Transformation project, we are thrilled to announce the creation of our Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Laboratory, which brings high complexity testing capabilities to our transplant center. Our laboratory will provide innovative histocompatibility and genetic testing services, which are crucial for transplantations, disease associations, and drug resistance or susceptibility.
As one of the country's largest transplant programs, the VUMC transplant center conducts renal, cardiac, liver, lung, pancreas, bone marrow/HSC transplants, and multi-organ procedures.
