DescriptionThe Manager of Dialysis Services is a registered professional nurse who directs and coordinates the overall activities of the Dialysis Unit to provide an optimum level of care within the unit. He/She guides patient-centered care by Joint Commission, physician orders, nursing and departmental guidelines, and other regulatory agencies.Dialysis Duties/CompetenciesPerforms ongoing, systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-, during, and post-treatment for assigned patients and documents in the patient medical record, adjusts or modifies the treatment plan as indicated, and notifies inpatient program manager, appropriately credentialed physicians, patient's primary nurse and others as may be indicated.
