Job Description Main Function:Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, routine care and maintenance of endoscopic instruments according to manufacturer recommendations and facility standards. Also performs sterile processing and instrument tray assembly in accordance with JCAHO and AORN regulatory requirements. Responsible for the collection, cleaning, assembly and distribution of medical equipment to patient care areas. Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain inventories of endoscopic equipment and supplies.Performs safety checks to verify proper equipment functioning.Prepares endoscopes needed for the day's daily assignment.
