Practice Details:
Our practice mimics the care provided in any large regional childrenâ™s hospital Level IV NICU with ECMO, high- frequency ventilation (HFOV and JET), nitric oxide, CV surgery, whole body cooling with 24-hour video EEG, complex pediatric surgery, neurosurgery and urology, etc.
We are supported by all the pediatric sub-specialists that one would find in a medical school faculty (pulmonology, cardiology, metabolic, genetics, neurology, hematology, nephrology, GI, etc.).
We provide leadership to Teddy Bear Air - one of busiest pediatric transport teams in the country providing high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide â“ utilizing fixed wing jet aircraft, helicopters and ground ambulances.
We also provide services at another large metropolitan hospital, a high- risk maternal hospital delivering the sickest babies in our region â“ such as micropremies, gastroschisis, hypoplastic left hearts, genetic malformations, neurosurgery cases and more. We coordinate prenatal care with four different MFM groups.
Our group actively participates in the VON network via data entry and platform presentations pertaining to quality and best practices. We strive to be evidence-based with monthly journal clubs, monthly neonatal ground rounds and our own Neofiles (> 63 clinical practice guidelines). We are currently involved in more than 10 clinical research projects including one within the NIH network.
Group comradery is superb and centers around a provider culture that respects one another and wants to do the best by our babies. We enjoy a competitive, private practice salary and a good work/life balance. Our community has a nice climate, excellent schools, university life at TCU, professional sports teams, a rich cultural district with theater, orchestra, and nationally acclaimed art museums (Kimbell Art Museum).
