The Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center (RMR VAMC) is actively recruiting a Board Eligible/Certified full-time academic Endocrinologist to join our team, accountable to the Chief of Endocrinology. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and research.
Our facility is closely affiliated with the adjacent University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, and it is expected that the successful candidate will qualify for faculty appointment in the University of Colorado School of Medicine. The successful candidate will have interest, skill, and demonstrated experience in clinical care and education. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide comprehensive clinical care to veterans with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid conditions, and metabolic diseases.
Manage inpatient and outpatient endocrinology consults.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and implement evidence-based practices.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics related to endocrinology care.
Engage in teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Participate in clinical research activities, with opportunities for collaboration and support from VAECHCS and CUs resources.
Contribute to the academic mission through teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development for medical students and trainees.
Attend departmental and divisional meetings to contribute to the strategic goals of the endocrinology program.
Preferred Experience: Board Certified in Endocrinology, evidence of academic teaching experience, and VA experience a plus
Salary Range: $245,000-$260,000
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40hrs/wk; Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage of the endocrinology consultation service in rotation with other staff (approx. 12wks/year).
