 Qualified candidates will be integral to the growth and expansion of the Division. Development of inpatient psychiatric services is a key feature of this position, and will focus on rotation as attending on the inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric unit. The inpatient unit boasts a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, pharmacists, therapists, nurses, and behavioral technicians. This position will also provide consultation and liaison psychiatry services to Joe DiMaggio Children&#8217;s Hospital medical subspecialties, including active heart transplant and advanced heart failure programs, end stage renal disease and kidney transplant programs, hematology/oncology, diabetes and gender-based endocrinology, and cystic fibrosis. Multidisciplinary&#xa0;collaboration with the Department of Pediatric Psychology, and a broad psychosocial&#xa0;team including&#xa0;art and music therapy,&#xa0;child life, education, and social work&#xa0;provide further programmatic support to the successful candidate. This position also includes opportunities to contribute to the growth of the division&#39;s outpatient practice.&#xa0;&#xa0;

You will also train and educate nursing staff; attend meetings, in-service training, and outreach activities; and participate in quality assurance/improvement monitoring and reporting initiatives. 
 To qualify, you must possess: 
 
 Bachelor&#8217;s degree from an accredited institution or foreign equivalent; Master&#8217;s degree required by 2024 
 A minimum of 2 years&#8217; clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian in an outpatient/community setting; 1-year experience as a CDE preferred

The WIC Program provides breastfeeding support, nutrition and health education to families to improve eating and physical activity behaviors and provides electronic benefits for specific foods important for good health. 
 The Supervising Public Health Nutritionist is responsible in supervising paraprofessional and professional staff at multiple worksites. This position provides training and guidance to staff, review and approve educational and program materials, presentations, support budget development, grant request and implementation of State and Federal regulations.&#xa0; The Supervising Public Health Nutritionist will work closely with the Health Program Coordinator/Local Agency WIC Director and Public Health Program Manager to support community coalition efforts, grant reporting, and project evaluation requirements.

 Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish is desirable for this position.&#xa0; Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates must complete and receive a passing score on the bilingual oral and written exam upon hire in order to receive the bilingual pay stipend. 
 Experience in lactation counseling is desirable, particularly with an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), or Certified Lactation Educator (CLE) designation.&#xa0;

The Pediatric Endocrinology division is comprised of a collaborative team of two full-time and two part-time Pediatric Endocrinologists as well as Advanced Practitioners working in a collaborative manner with General Pediatrics and other Pediatric Subspecialties. We have onsite diabetes educators, registered dieticians and an array of social work and other support services.  

Pediatric Endocrinology provides full spectrum care in both inpatient and outpatient settings at multiple practice locations.  Our practice works closely with several community partners and participates in community education, integration with school nursing care and camp opportunities for children with diabetes.

Our research program includes active trials with TrialNet, SEARCH, and the Pediatric Diabetes Consortium. We have solid research nursing, research administration, a separate research facility, and extensive grant-building support. We work in conjunction with our medical school as mentors, teachers, and preceptors. Further, our Pediatric and Medicine-Pediatric residency programs have a long history of excellent instruction and results.
