Our business support assistants are front-line in helping manage the high-volume patient phone calls and visits at the clinic. An ideal candidate would have excellent patient/customer care skills, be good with self-directed time management skills, and comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced clinic. Proficiency with computers (Microsoft Office apps like Outlook, Word) and experience with Cerner (Electronic Medical Record) preferred. A candidate with medical office experience would be beneficial.  Job Duties: 
 
 Collection of outstanding claims from a monthly Accounts Receivable report 
 Ability to work with insurance companies to help collect payments 
 Follow up on previous corrected claims and appeals 
 Obtain retro authorizations and referrals when applicable 
 Review monthly Accounts Receivable report at month end to identify trends or changes to provide feedback on billing process with management 
 Work on special projects as needed 
 Assist patients with billing questions 
 Cross train to assist in other positions as needed.
