The Women &#38; Infants Services (WIS) department at BTMC is a fast-paced environment averaging 5000 deliveries per year. BTMC is accredited by the Arizona Perinatal Trust as a Level III Center. This certifies that we are qualified to take care of the most high-risk patient population. Our doctors and nurses have the expertise and experience to care for some of the most complex pregnancies and deliveries, including women with pregnancies complicated by diabetes, high blood pressure and premature labor. Our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) has 35 beds, enabling us to care for babies born at any gestational age. We have 15-private Labor and Delivery rooms, 14 high-risk Antepartum rooms, and over 30 postpartum couplet rooms for our patients.     WIS is looking to hire Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses to be part of a team that supports the patients and family in their wishes for their birth experience. Within the Labor and Delivery unit, we have specialized roles that nurses are encouraged to train for after 1-2 years of labor and delivery experience. These roles include the newborn delivery nurse and OB triage nurse. We highly encourage all our nurses that are eligible to take their certification exam after 2 years in Labor and Delivery and offer education and compensation to help our nurses be successful! This is a full-time day shift opening with the hours being from 7am-7:30pm for 3 shifts per week which will include rotating weekends and holidays. You will also have the opportunity utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage and enjoy a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential as well as an 18% night shift differential. Synthesizes and prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide support for the human response of the patient and family to changes in health status.     MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS   Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.     Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. Banner Registry and Travel physician practice positions require a minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse in a physician practice or an acute care setting. Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral, Banner Home Care/Hospice or Boswell Skilled Nursing Facility must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. Employees working at Banner MD Anderson or BUMC-P Whole Health Counseling must possess a State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
