SUMMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for performing a wide variety of clinical and front desk nursing duties in a fast-paced office setting. The Registered Nurse provides diabetic counseling, both one-on-one and in the group setting, to community clients inclusive of the diabetic, oncology, and cardiology population, as well as the general community. The Registered Nurse serves as a healthcare professional who has mastered the core knowledge and skills in the biological/social sciences, communication, counseling, and education. A Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) has experience in the care of people with diabetes.
Qualifications
Education:
? Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. ? Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio. ? Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE). Certification must be obtained within 1 year of the date of hire.
Experience:
? 2 years of experience as an RN in a physician?s office or hospital setting preferred. ? Knowledge of specific physician specialty preferred. ? Must demonstrate exceptional communication, telephone etiquette, customer service, and organizational abilities. ? Proficiency in managing a fast-paced environment and multitasking is essential. ? Basic computer skills required. ? Medical terminology, anatomy, lab, instrument sterility, sterile technique, phlebotomy, and clinical skills required
